2023 Endangered Species Forever First Class Postage Stamps

USPS issued stamps to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Endangered Species Act.

Photographs on the stamps are from Joel Sartore’s “Photo Ark” project.

Stamps include “Endangered” and the common name of each species.

First Day of Issue Ceremony was in Wall, South Dakota.

Endangered Species Act protects species and their ecosystems since 1973.

USPS celebrated the 50th anniversary of the ESA with 20 Forever stamps in 2023.

Joel Sartore’s “Photo Ark” aims to document endangered species for preservation.

ESA contributed to the recovery of many endangered plant and animal species.
